Ryan and his wife, Kelley, have four children attending DMPS - two at Callanan Middle School and two at the Downtown School.
Together, we must chart a bold future for DMPS!
We must continue to adapt and innovate to meet this moment.
We must support and grow our dedicated teachers and staff.
We must tell our story and embrace our many strengths.
We must prepare students for the workforce of the future and as citizens in a democratic society.
Des Moines Public Schools are the foundation of our neighborhoods and community.
A world-class education includes history, science, literature, arts, music, and foreign languages.
Fostering a spirit of curiosity and love of learning is a critical part of education that is not captured by test scores.
Every student must be challenged and given the tools to succeed.
Ryan strongly supports the Reimagining Education Bond Referendum & encourages everyone to vote YES! on Nov. 4th.
The Reimagining Education Bond will invest critical resources in our schools. In District 2, major investments include:
$42 million for a new Moulton Elementary,
$6.9 million for Callanan Middle School, and
$32 million for North High School.
Another way to support our schools is to register for the 1 mile fun run/walk on Oct. 18, 2025. Proceeds from OneRun directly support Des Moines Public Schools.
